Throughout my career I have explored themes of love and nature, decay and reemergence, death and rebirth. I have used distorted hearts/organs/fruit/plants as metaphors for the living, tender body; employing color and texture to reveal secrets and beauty that lie beneath the surface. The smoothness of clay and the brittleness of glass create sculptural surfaces that are both sensual and dangerous. Creating work in mosaic, gathering a multitude of elements and textures, satisfies my need to make things whole.
